Cada computadora en la red está identificada por un nombre uucp que consiste de cuatro a siete letras o numeros y es único dentro de una red uucp particular.

Running UUCP

/usr/local/bin/uux ejecuta comandos en máquinas remotas

/usr/local/libexec/uucp/uucico hace la llamada y configura la transferencia de archivos.

/usr/local/libexec/uucp/uuxqt le dice a otras máquinas que programa se debe ejecutar para el manejo apropiado de los archivos.
